Verity comes from the South West Peninsula. She has also served in Lincolnshire, the Isle of Man and Wales. She has an interest in neurodivergence, and in Plymouth began a new form of worship called SdW which uses silent disco headphones to cater for those who find regular worship constraining or difficult to access.
My role at Trinity, presently, is that of Senior Church Steward, which ends next May 2026. Stewards prepare details in the Sanctuary ready for worship and ensure our preachers, both lay and ordained, are welcomed, supported, and their needs met prior to worship, including praying with them.
We are also tasked with ensuring all are safe and cared for in the event of any issues arising.
Finally, if the appointed preacher is unable to attend or a Local Arrangement is planned, then the Stewards must ensure an act of worship takes place, but are not permitted to preach; however, we can read a sermon prepared by ministers or Local Preachers.

I am one of the senior stewards involved in Trinity , which means organising rotas for other stewards . Stewards have responsibility to look after visiting preachers, assist in setting up services and attending meetings in relation to the church.
If you have any queries on a Sunday or general questions please don't hesitate to ask me and I will try and answer of find someone your question.
